Monthly Archives: May 2009 Last week I started some seedlings. I have a bad feeling about them though, because I have never been able to start ANYTHING from seeds. But, this year I am determined to have a legitimate vegetable garden, dammit. Today Evan and I hacked at the Earth, determined to clear some little plots in our overrun...  I finally finished a bunch of experimental aprons of mine! Hoorah! I am trying to work on cute designs for gardening and painting aprons. I had a lot of fun making this clothespin apron and designing the pattern, but I found making the bias tape and working with it extremely annoying! Does anyone have any...  Last night we brought out some masks that Evan got in Europe, swigged some mimosas and laughed with some crazy beautiful people. The occasion inspired me to whip up some gluten/corn free treats. Oh my Goddess, these are deadly. I chopped up gluten/corn free rice tortillas and fried them in olive oil..and them sprinkled them...  I was skeptical when I saw this recipe for gluten free chocolate chip cookies. But it is INCREDIBLE! One of the best cookies…PERIOD…that I have ever had. We have had a block in the freezer for two weeks, and little by little…as the cookies get baked off…it is almost gone. whoops. I followed the recipe,...  Ok Kiddies, this is where I step away from being the sweet apron girl for a moment, and do a little bit of feminist ranting. On memorial day I went to see my most favorite musician perform, Peaches. If I was in awe of her before, then I worship her now. Her performance paralyzed me... |
