Monthly Archives: September 2009 Have you ever eaten one of these? A fig that is. I’ve been realizing that I NEVER have! Well, I think I’ve eaten a dried one. But raw…how do you do it? I have decorated cakes with them, but for some reason not realizing that they were edible. They are kind of freaky looking, ya...  Caffe Sole’s biggest fan and local Mail Man, Joey, just had a birthday yesterday! And I went a little bit crazy with his birthday cake…possibly some chocolate overload? Nahhh. Never, right? Actually, I don’t think I can eat chocolate for…a couple of days. Ha! I kinda feel sick and lumpy from it. Bleh. But this...  I guess you could call me a conscious baker. I am a total health nut and bit of a freak when it comes to nutrition. So, whenever I bake, I try to use as many “whole” ingredients as possible. As in: whole wheat, spelt, oats, flax, fruit, honey. This at least helps me convince myself...  My grandmother just turned 71 today! What a young grandma, huh? It is no secret that I am poor-ass poor, so when it comes to gift giving I have to get creative. My Mei Mei is a very fashionable and classy lady, which only heightened my fretting over sending her a tasteful gift. I work...  I have decided to up the bar on this blog. I am going to stop hiding from ya’ll and let you know who I am. My dream is to someday have a band of followers who love to read about cooking, sewing and life…and look at fabulous food photography by Evan Lentz. I wouldn’t be...
